Ports opened their 2019/20 league account with a short trip to Lakeview Park to face Loughgall, the game started ferociously and the Ports had the first chance of the game after a deep cross from Chris Crane found Adam Salley at the back post who took a touch and unleashed a shot that was tipped over the bar. The game was then caught in somewhat of a stalemate as both sides struggled to create many opportunities with the home side on top of the game as the first half came to a close.

The second half began with the Ports looking to take control and they have the ball in the net after 66 minutes when Salley got on the end of a Chris Lavery cross to finish from close range but he was adjudged to be off side. Not many other opportunities of note as the Ports struggled to create against a hard working, stubborn Loughgall side, with the game ending in frustration for the visitors.

Next up is the visit of Ballyclare Comrades on Tuesday night as the Ports look to get a more positive result at Shamrock Park, Kick Off 7:45pm.
