We at Portadown FC are devastated & heartbroken to learn of the sudden and untimely passing of former player Gerard (Jerry) Thompson.
Jerry signed for the club from Larne in August 2018 and made 26 appearances and scored one goal in his one season at Shamrock Park before departing in May 2019.
Jerry was a tenacious, committed, attacking left back who loved to get up and down the left wing and never gave less than 100% whenever he pulled on a red shirt which made him a popular player with the Portadown faithful.
Our thoughts, prayers & condolences are with Jerrys family, friends & teammates at this difficult time.
