Portadown manager Matthew Tipton has confirmed that striker Aaron Duke has joined Bluefin Sport Premier Intermediate side Dollingstown on loan until the end of the season.

Duke, 23, joined Portadown in January 2019 from Mid Ulster intermediate side Rectory Rangers after spells at Linfield, Dundee United and Annagh United and so far this season contributed 5 goals and 4 assists in 15 appearances for the club.

Portadown manager Matthew Tipton had the following to say on Aaron’s loan move:

“Aaron has been asking me for a month about the possibility of going on loan to get some game time however I felt that he could still be a good option for us going forward.

His lack of game time has come through the form of the team so far this season. This has had a knock on effect on Aaron’s fitness levels & general conditioning so we are hoping this spell of games will relight his fire to come back to us in the summer in peak physical condition.”
