Portadown are back in Bluefin Sport Championship action this Saturday (8 February 2020) when we take on Knockbreda at Shamrock Park (Kick Off 3pm).

Portadown are coming off the back of a disappointing 3-1 defeat to Dergview a fortnight ago however with Ballinamallard United dropping points on the same day it meant Portadown stayed top of the Bluefin Championship, five points clear of the Mallards.

On the injury front Portadown are still without long term injury victims Greg Hall and Ryan Carmichael while on loan goalkeeper Aidan McAdams remains sidelined with a muscle injury but on the plus side however newly signed goalkeeper Ben Pierce could make his debut following his signing yesterday.

Knockbreda have had a poor campaign with only 4 league victories all season with 3 of those victories coming within a month of each other with wins over Loughgall (16 Nov) Ards (30 Nov) and H& W Welders (14 Dec). However Knockbreda find themselves cut adrift by 6 points at the bottom of the Bluefin Sport Championship and without a league victory since 14 December, they’ve also conceded 73 goals in their 25 league games – an average of 2.92 goals a game.

Portadown have 12 goals in their last three games against Knockbreda with Portadown running out 3-0 winners the last time the two teams met at Shamrock Park back in November 2019 with goals from Callum Ferris (2) and a Lee Bonis strike.
