Gary Millar has left after his PFC contract expired, to take up the Player/Manager post at Mid Ulster Intermediate A club, Laurelvale FC.
Ports Manager Matthew Tipton had the following to say about Millar:
I’m delighted with the news that Gary Millar has taken the step into management with Laurelvale. From the very first minute Gary walked into the door last Pre-season he’s been different class around the place. He hasn’t played as much as he would he would have wanted to however his value to the squad off the field was immeasurable. For me he was an extra coach whilst on the field in terms of his application to training & when playing in the reserve team. He has a great knowledge of the game & the way he passes that on to those around him never went unnoticed by myself or the rest of the staff. I wish him nothing but success at Laurelvale & I feel it’s only the start of a successful managerial career for Gary.
