Portadown Football Club are delighted to announce that We Are Ports has extended its sponsorship of WeArePortsTV for another season.
We Are Ports came on board as sponsors of Ports TV in December 2017 with the channel being rebranded as WeArePortsTV, this was at a time when the club was in the Championship with no TV coverage provided of games at all so the backing and support for Ports TV from We Are Ports was vital for supporters during this period. As well as covering the cost of producing the weekly highlights We Are Ports have also provided funds for media equipment and an interview board during their three years as sponsors.
We Are Ports (WAP) was set up by supporters in 2017 and is a democratic membership scheme where everyone has an equal vote and can decide where their financial contributions are spent within Portadown Football Club. There are currently 123 adult members in We Are Ports, with members based in America, Canada, Australia and throughout the UK. Each member of WAP pays a minimum monthly contribution and in return have an elected representative on the Portadown Football Club Board of Directors.
Members provide additional finance to the club and decide how their money is spent, and in return all members receive regular exclusive WAP & PFC news via WhatsApp, the WAP Forum and electronic Newsletters. We Are Ports also host members only social events, such as panel interviews with new players, meet the management sessions, access to exclusive We Are Ports TV content and regular pre-match events.
