Today Portadown Football Club are pleased to announce that Director David Jameson has been appointed & accepted the role of club chairman following the passing of the late chairman, Ronnie Stinson.

David has been an integral part of Portadown FC over the past 3 decades and has helped steer the club through the highs and lows of recent history.

Statement from the new Chairman, David Jameson:

“It is an honour to be voted by my fellow directors as the new chairman of PFC, which I joined 24 years ago in February 1997.

In that time I have seen highs and lows, but hopeful we are on the right path to more highs. Coincidentally, the day I joined the club so did PFC legend Vinny Arkins.

During that time I have had the pleasure of being vice-chairman under two great chairmen in Roy McMahon and Ronnie Stinson.

Being promoted back into the Irish Premiership has unfortunately been marked by COVID-19. We have sadly lost great club servants Nat Richardson and Ronnie, and our fantastic fan base cannot get into games to support the team each week, but I am hopeful we can get back to normal times next season.

I am fortunate to have Paul Jackson as my vice chairman, who with myself and my fellow directors aim to support PFC in every way possible on and off the field.

Future development plans at Shamrock Park are underway, with great assistance from WAP as always. The future looks promising and we will all strive to ensure the best for the club.

I have to conclude with a massive thank you to our Media Team who have been very professional in providing live streaming of home games which has been a fantastic boost for keeping the supporters involved with each game.

I take this opportunity to wish everyone good health and keep safe in these strange times and I look forward to welcoming old and new friends and supporters to Shamrock Park.”
