Portadown are back in Danske Bank Premiership action tomorrow afternoon (Sat 19 March) when we take on Dungannon Swifts at Stangmore Park, kick off 3pm.

Dungannon Swifts under new manager Dean Shiels are coming off the back of a 2-0 defeat to Linfield at Windsor Park on Tuesday evening, their sixth straight defeat in the Danske Bank Premiership, and are without a victory since the 2 February 2021 when they beat Ballymena United 2-0 at the Showgrounds. Portadown have had a midweek break following a 2-1 defeat away to Ballymena United last Saturday.

The last time the two clubs met was back in December 2020 with Portadown running out 3-0 winners at Stangmore Park thanks to goals from Stephen Teggart, Adam McCallum and Barney McKeown, Portadown’s first victory at Stangmore Park since a 3-2 victory back in November 2014.

After a much needed midweek break we go to Dungannon tomorrow with renewed vigour for the rest of the season. They are a team with a new manager who has already really tried to transform the way that they play so it will be up to us to set our marker down early in the game.

We have Greg, Paul & Eamon all back fit after the week off but will miss Luke Wilson through suspension.
