Portadown are back in Danske Bank Premiership action this evening (Tues 13 April) when we take on Dungannon Swifts at Shamrock Park, kick off 7:45pm.

Dungannon Swifts come into the game off a 2-0 defeat to Glentoran at the Oval on Saturday while Portadown had a 2-0 victory over Carrick Rangers at Shamrock Park thanks to goals from Ben Tilney and Lee Bonis.

The last time the two clubs met was back in March with Portadown bagging the three points thanks to a Lee Bonis goal, the Ports second victory over Dungannon Swifts this season with both coming at Stangmore Park.

The last time the two sides met at Shamrock Park was back in March 2017 with Dungannon Swifts running out 1-0 winners thanks to a Peter McMahon goal. The Ports last victory over Dungannon Swifts at Shamrock Park came back in December 2016 thanks to goals from Mark McAllister and Stephen Hughes in a game which seen three reds cards with Keith O’Hara dismissed for Portadown and Chris Hegarty and Andy Coleman sent off for Dungannon Swifts.

Here’s what Portadown manager Matthew Tipton had to say ahead of tomorrows game

Aside from the long term injuries we will only have Barney to check on after he came off on Saturday with a tight hamstring.

We expect the players to be busting to go tonight after Saturdays victory & the prospect of our first back to back victories this season has to be the target. We know that Dungannon will look to dominate the ball but we will set our game plan up to counteract that as well as getting the best from our players.
