Portadown Football Club are delighted to be able to inform supporters that director Peter Hunniford has been voted into the position of Vice Chairman of the NIFL Premiership management committee.

Peter, who currently occupies the role of Director of Football at Portadown Football Club, became a director at Shamrock Park in October 2016 following in the footsteps of his father Paul who held the Chairmans position at the club in the early 1990’s.

This is what Peter had to say on his appointment

I am honoured on being elected as Vice Chair of the Premiership Management Committee.  Firstly I’d like to congratulate Connaire McGreevy on his appointment as Chair and look forward to supporting him.

I’ve been on record before saying that in local football all our clubs should be the biggest rivals on the pitch but must be close friends off it.  All clubs need to work together to help grow the local game.  The Premiership Management Committee is represented by members of all 12 clubs and each member is working hard to achieve this.  I hope I can play my part as well as representing Portadown FC

All at Shamrock Park congratulate Peter on his new role and wish him every success.
