Portadown Football Club wish to inform supporters about some changes to the ticketing system for games at Shamrock Park going forward and thank all of our supporters who have attended games this season for their patience and understanding with the challenges created by our new access processes.
Following consultation with supporters and representatives from We Are Ports the board of directors have taken the feedback they received in those meetings on board and have implemented the following modifications:
While the club feel online ticketing is very much the future for games at Shamrock Park, as it is with the majority of spectator events that take place within the country and to assist with safety and security, we appreciate that this needs to be phased in in a gradual way. Therefore while online tickets for matches will still remain as an option for supporters a cash gate will now also be available (for home supporters only) at each game at Shamrock Park (except in the event where a game has sold out online in advance of the game as is possible with the Boxing Day fixture against Glenavon). We would add however that purchasing your ticket online remains the best way to guarantee your seat for games and would still actively encourage supporters to avail of the facility as a cash turnstile, as stated above, will only be available in the event that online tickets have not sold out.
The board have also abolished the booking fee when purchasing a online ticket, the club will now absorb the booking fee costs set by the ticketing provider so supporters are not impacted financially by this.
Further changes to the ticketing site will also now see supporters being able to create an account which will store your check out details such as address, payment details, email address etc which will allow for faster check out each week. Those who wish not to create an account can still checkout as a guest. Please note that NO ACCOUNTS HAVE AUTOMATICALLY BEEN CREATED. Those wishing to have an account must register which can be done at checkout or on the Login page with those supporters being able to access purchased tickets at anytime through their account on the website with tickets still being sent via e-mail as normal.
Finally ticket types now have their own product pages to ensure confusion on which type when purchasing is reduced, a number of bugs in the payment process have also now been fixed.
We wish to thank our supporters for their feedback and patience as we navigate through an ever changing landscape in regards to sporting events with crowds, we strive to provide the best possible solutions to ensure the safety of our supporters and your feedback has proved invaluable. We also wish to place on record our thanks to Matt Wright for his continued work on the online ticketing system.
