On Saturday 25th September Portadown Football Club are having a special day for local school children called ‘Primary School Saturday’.

Portadown are playing against Dungannon Swifts in a Danske Bank Premiership league match, kicking off at 3pm, and are offering 200 free match tickets to primary school children from the greater Portadown area.

Community Director, Dave Wiggins told us,

‘First team players, Oisin Conaty, Luke Wilson, Lee Bonis and Harry Anderson all went to various primary schools around Portadown and we are extremely proud that they now represent our town at the highest level of football in N.Ireland. They are all young, talented players who now find themselves being idolised as by young people around the town’.

The free tickets will be available from the club website, portadownfc.co.uk, from 8pm on Tuesday 21st September on a first come first served basis. A paying adult can bring up to three primary aged children for free and each child will receive a small treat to eat at half time.

‘We have been out and about this week promoting the free match tickets to schools and Oisin and Lee have been back visiting their old primary schools, where they were warmly received by principals and teachers, with numerous stories being relayed to Matthew Tipton, the Portadown Manager.
