Congratulations to former Portadown midfielder Alberto Balde who made his senior international debut last Sunday (5 June) for the Dominican Republic in a 3–2 CONCACAF Nations League loss to French Guiana, he came on as a substitute in the 67th minute.
Alberto was with the club from the age of 12, going on to make his debut at the age of 15 in November 2017 against Institute and a week later would become the youngest player to score a senior league goal for the club at the age of 15 years & 236 day when he found the net against Knockbreda.
Alberto would depart the club in April 2017 to join then Premier League side Middlesbrough.
