Portadown Football Club is delighted to announce that Billy Stedman has signed a new contract to remain at Shamrock Park.
The 22 year old English winger signed for the club on a short term deal in January 2022 and went on to score 2 goals in 15 appearances, including the winner against Annagh United in the first leg of the Premiership Promotion/Relegation playoff at Tandragee Road.
Capable of playing out wide on either flank or in an advanced midfield role Stedman was released by Southampton before signing his first professional contract with Coventry City in 2018, he would go on to feature and score regularly for the Sky Blues under-18s and under-23s team and made his first-team debut against Arsenal U21s in the Checkatrade Trophy in the 2018/19 season.
Billy would depart Coventry City in 2020, signing for Icelandic second division club UMF Víkingur Ólafsvík and was previously with Dorchester Town before making the move to Portadown.
