Portadown supporters were treated to a first look at our newly decorated tunnel and changing area at Shamrock Park at Monday evenings We Are Ports Community Fun Night.

The changing area has undergone a massive revamp over the close season and now features walls dedicated to different historic moments in the club’s history including an honours wall, trophy wall, Double winning wall, Hall of Fame wall complete with pictures of all our inductees as well as space dedicated to the past managers and captains of the club.

The tunnel area has been absolutely transformed thanks to Dean Kane, AKA Visual Waste, and now includes graffiti style murals on either side incorporating a phoenix, supporters, club badge with the tunnel doors adorned by the We Are Ports logo.

Dean, from Laurelvale, has been creating street art masterpieces and murals as his full-time job for the last ten years and we couldn’t be more delighted with the job he’s done at Shamrock Park.

A massive thank you to We Are Ports for helping part fund the project as well as to Patterson Graphics, Mark Johnston, Mark Beattie, Matt Gregg, Stuart Andrews, Gary McCoo, Paul Richardson, Jonny Dunlop and David Jameson Junior for their time, work and effort in completing the project over the past few months – we’re sure supporters will agree that it looks fantastic!
