Portadown Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of 20 year old goalkeeper Ruadhán McKenna from Cliftonville.
Ruadhán was previously with the Ports from 2015, making a solitary first team appearance against Institute in 2018 and also being part of the Portadown U20s squad who won the NIFL Championship Development League South in 2017/18.
McKenna would depart Shamrock Park in 2018 to join Cliftonville before going on to join Derry City in 2021 and returning to Solitude in January 2022, during this time he was part of the Northern Ireland Under 18 Schoolboy side that lifted the Centenary Shield in 2019 and was an unused substitute for Cliftonville in their League Cup final victory over Coleraine in March.
The 6 foot plus shot stopper will add competition to the goalkeeping ranks at the club and look to challenge current Ports number 1 Jethren Barr.
Welcome back to Shamrock Ruadhán!
