This Saturday (20 August) sees our first home Danske Bank Premiership of 2022/23 therefore we wanted to refresh supporters on purchasing live streams via We Are Ports TV LIVE.
As we informed supporters back in July, our ever innovative and hard working media team have kept themselves at the forefront of NIFL club media by this season providing an in house streaming platform via portstv.com, meaning fans no longer need to access & purchase our live streams via a third party company.
This means due to the magnificent work the volunteers behind We Are Ports TV do that Portadown are the only club in the Irish League to broadcast live streams of their games via a totally in house environment – be that production, camera operating, in game graphics, commentary and now hosting platform – all is done completely via the We Are Ports TV team with the club’s own specialised equipment meaning not only do the club save a considerable amount of money by not employing third party companies to oversee aspects of the stream but it also means that 100% monies made through the stream can be invested directly back into the club.
An added bonus too is with We Are Ports TV LIVE managing the platform hosting the live streams that the customer service aspect of the facility will be managed in house by the Portadown FC media team so supporters will get replies to their issues and questions in a timely manner from someone who will be on site at the game being streamed and be across any known issues or identify patterns based on e-mails etc coming in.
One common issue we noticed during the live test stream of the George Richardson Memorial Cup game against Seagoe was users encountering problems logging into their We Are Ports TV LIVE accounts – we believe this was happening as users were trying to log into their account on one device without being logged out of their account on another separate device (i.e trying to log into We Are Ports TV LIVE account on your tablet while still being logged into your account on your phone)
PLEASE NOTE THAT USERS CAN ONLY BE LOGGED INTO THEIR ACCOUNT ON ONE DEVICE AT ANY ONE TIME, THE SYSTEM WILL NOT LET YOU LOG INTO YOUR ACCOUNT ON MULTIPLE DEVICES AT THE SAME TIME.
Please also note that if you encounter buffering or a poor quality picture then check your connection is fast enough, also try to stop all current downloads, videos you are watching or torrents and visit www.speedtest.net to test your download speed – picture quality obviously depends on how fast your broadband download speed is, with 3mbps needed to stream most videos in standard definition. We Are Ports TV LIVE do plan in the future on filming matches in 4K which will require a minimum of 25 Mbps.
(Portadown FC are not responsible for the content of external websites)
Use of mobile data is not a guaranteed data connection as the speeds and connection can vary dependent on various factors such coverage or mobile site location.
