Portadown Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of defender Chris Rodgers.
The 31 year old centre-half began his career at Carniny Youth before joining home town club Ballymena Utd and being part of their Harry Cavan Youth Cup wining squad in 2009, that same year Roy Walker would bring Rodgers into his first team panel but with opportunities limited the defender would move on to derby rivals Coleraine in 2010.
Rodgers would return to the Ballymena Showgrounds in 2011 but departed once again in August 2013 to join Championship 2 side Wakehurst before subsequent moves to Larne in 2014, Ballyclare Comrades in 2017, Carrick Rangers in 2018 and a return to Ballymena Utd for a third spell in 2021.
The Ballymena native has most recently been with Dundela who he joined in the summer and links up again with Niall Currie and Clifford Adams who he played under at Ballyclare Comrades, Carrick Rangers and of course, Dundela.
