With all eyes now focused on this Saturdays (4 February) Samuel Gelston’s Whiskey Irish Cup 6th Round as Glentoran travel down the M1 to Shamrock Park to take on Niall Currie’s Portadown side we would like to detail some matchday arrangements around the game.

With a bumper crowd expected, some alternative crowd arrangements have had to be made ahead of the fixture.

With the away allocation having sold out, and in consultation with the PSNI, it has been decided to allocate the first block of the home stand to Glentoran supporters.

This decision has not been taken lightly but with supporter safety being the only priority.

We feel by allocating Glentoran supporters a section in the Main Home Stand that this will reduce the possibility of away supporters being seated among the home supporters.

On Saturday Portadown fans will enter the ground through the usual home turnstiles and make their way around the back of the main stand and take their seats via the Clounagh end of the ground while Glentoran fans will enter through the away turnstiles as normal to access the away stand however if sitting in the allocated section of the home stand they will enter through the designated turnstiles allocated within the traditional home block of turnstile and take their seats via the Chalet End of the main home stand.

Please note, if you purchase a ticket for the Chalet End, your ticket will only scan through the Chalet End turnstiles and vice versa, there is no possibility of cross over with extra security on duty on the day as well as a PSNI presence to ensure the arrangements which have been put in place are adhered to.

We will be releasing the extra 200 tickets for the allocated section for the Glentoran supporters in the main home stand later today, it will be on a first come, first served basis via https://tickets.portadownfc.co.uk/
