The Northern Ireland Football League today have released the post split fixtures as we head into the finale of the 2022/23 Danske Bank Premiership season.

Portadown, confirmed in the bottom six when the split occurs, will have three home games – against Ballymena United, Newry City AFC & Carrick Rangers while we’ll travel to Dungannon Swifts and Glenavon.

Portadown will have three back to back home fixtures to begin the split as we take on Ballymena United on Good Friday (7th April) at Shamrock Park with a 7:45pm kick off, then Newry City AFC are the visitors to Shamrock Park on Easter Tuesday (11 April), again a 7:45pm kick off followed by Carrick Rangers on Saturday 15 April, KO 3pm.

Our penultimate split fixture is a visit to Stangmore Park to take on Dungannon Swifts on Saturday 22 April and we conclude with a Mid-Ulster derby against Glenavon at Mourneview Park on Saturday 29th April with all games on that final day kicking off at 5:30pm.

Portadown still have one remaining pre split game to play, that’s against Glentoran at the Oval next Saturday (1 April), kick off 3pm.

These are massive games for the club and we would ask supporters to continue to come out in your droves, as you have all season, and encourage others you know to get behind Niall Currie’s team as the Ports look to retain their place at the top table of Northern Irish football – your backing and support will make all the difference and will help to spur the players on to pull off the great escape.
