Portadown Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Eamon Fyfe on a season long loan from Coleraine.
The 25 year old striker joined Coleraine in January 2023 from Dundela after previously being on on the books of Queen’s University and All Saints Old Boys Ballymena as well as being with Cliftonville, Larne and Ballymena United as a youngster.
The Glenravel native scored 2 goals for Coleraine in 18 appearances last season following his move after hitting 9 goals for Dundela in the opening 5 months of the season including goals to knock Crusaders out of the League Cup and Carrick Rangers out of the County Antrim Shield.
On the move, Portadown manager Niall Currie commented
We’re over the moon to get Eamon on board, he has been our number one target for a while now and I’m delighted that Oran (Kearney) at Coleraine has kept us up to date on his progress, the possibility of bringing him to the club in some form and then ultimately giving us permission to talk to him.
It was also very important that we’ve agreed a season long loan rather than a loan deal that could see him return to the Showgrounds in January as he’ll be very important to us in our goal to get back to the Premiership, our supporters will love everything about him.
