Portadown Football Club can confirm that goalkeeper Ronan Burns and midfielder Zach Cowan have joined Premier Intermediate sides Rathfriland Rangers and Dollingstown, respectively, on loan.

Burns, 18, signed professional terms at Portadown in 2022 with the Rathfriland native being at the club since he was 10 years old while Zach Cowan (17) has also risen through the ranks at Shamrock Park, making his first team debut at the age of 15 against Warrenpoint Town in May 2021 and scoring his first senior goal for the club in the League Cup victory over Armagh City last season.

Rathfriland Rangers are newly promoted into the NIFL pyramid this season and start their campaign on 26th August at home to Queens University while Dollingstown finished 10th in last seasons Premier Intermediate and begin their season away to the PSNI.
