Paul Kee’s side come in the game after having a solid start to their Championship campaign with 3 victories, a draw and a defeat. Last time out they were held to a 1-1 draw by Ards at Clandeboye Park with former Ports striker Michael McLellan on target for H&W Welders.

Portadown have won 7 of the last 8 meetings between the two sides with H&W Welders last victory over the Ports coming back in October 2019 at Tillysburn Park, this defeat brought an end to an 8 game unbeaten for Matthew Tipton’s men.

Manager notes

We travel to the Blanchflower Stadium tomorrow for what will be a very tough game against a good side which Paul Kee has assembled – a side who I feel will be one of the favourites for promotion this year.

Last week wasn’t what anyone wanted but the lads are in a determined mood to get back on track. We know that in every game in this division teams will give that little bit more against us and its up to us to match that week in week out and continue to give the town a team to be proud of.
