With Remembrance Day drawing near Portadown Football Club can announce our plans to unite across faiths, cultures and backgrounds to remember the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces community from United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.

This year the club will wear special edition Remembrance shirts when we play Dergview at Shamrock Park on Saturday 11 November 2023.

The one off special edition shirts will have a poppy on the top centre alongside the wording ‘Portadown FC Remembers 2023’ as well as poppies sublimated throughout the shirt.

These one off special edition shirts will only be worn in the afore mentioned game against Dergview with only 18 made – the match prepared/match worn shirts are available to purchase now via the Ports Store online for £100 and can be collected or posted out to purchasers following the game.

Supporters who purchase a shirt are unable to request a specific players shirt but rather will be randomly allocated a shirt following the game.

Shirts CAN ONLY be purchased via the link above with all proceeds from the shirts going to the Royal British Legion.

We can also announce that our annual Remembrance Service will take place at Shamrock Park before our game against Dergview on Saturday 11 November 2023 at 2pm with everyone welcome.

Finally representatives from the club were honoured to be invited to the Poppy launch at the Portadown branch of the Royal British Legion on Friday evening past and are proud to this year for the first time take part in the Remembrance Service at the War Memorial in Portadown on Remembrance Sunday.
