Portadown are back in Playr-Fit Championship action this Saturday (18 November) when we face Bangor at Clandeboye Park (Kick off 3pm).
Portadown come into the game off the back of a 4-1 win over Dergview last Saturday at Shamrock Park while Bangor were beaten 2-1 by Newington at Inver Park.
So far this season Bangor have played 15 league games, winning 6, drawing 3 and losing 6 and currently sit 8th in the Playr-Fit Championship.
The last time the two clubs met was earlier this season, on 25 August, with Bangor picking up all 3 points in a 1-0 win at Shamrock Park thanks to a Scott McArthur goal.
For the last meeting between the two clubs at Clandeboye Park you’ve to go back to Ocotber 2012 and a 4-0 win for the Ports in a League Cup game thanks to goals from Sean Mackle, Darren Murray and a brace from Ryan Burns. In regards to the last league meeting between the clubs at Bangor’s home ground it’s all the way back to 6 January 1996 in a game that ended 0-0.

We’re in a good place but unfortunately we will be without Eoin Bradley tomorrow who has been sick all week and obviously with already losing Paul McElroy it stretches us even further but we have been able to paper over things very well as the boys have stepped up, there’s no doubt however it’s very frustrating as a manager.
We will shift things about for Bangor, as we have before, knowing how difficult this game is going to be. I still feel we have plenty enough if we’re at it to come through this and after losing to Bangor on our home patch back in August there is plenty of motivation.
