Portadown are back in Playr-Fit Championship action tomorrow afternoon when we face Annagh United at the BMG Arena, kick off 5:30pm.

Portadown come into the game off the back of Tuesdays evenings 2-1 win over Ballyclare Comrades at Shamrock Park while Annagh United were 4-1 winners over Knockbreda in their last Championship fixture.

So far this season Annagh Utd have played 26 league games, winning 11, drawing 6 and losing 9 and currently sit 7th in the Playr-Fit Championship.

The last time the two clubs met was on Boxing Day with Annagh United running out 3-1 winners at the BMG Arena thanks to goals from Kris Calvert, Jordan Campbell and Ruairi McDonald with Eamon Fyfe grabbing a consolation goal in injury time for the Ports.

Annagh United have only lost two Championship games at home all season, a 3-0 defeat to Newington in September and 4-0 defeat to Bangor in November.

On tomorrows game Niall Currie commented

We look forward to going to our neighbours knowing they are in good form like ourselves. We know what to expect and how tough this is going be, especially on their pitch.

We have Luke Wilson still out and Eamon Fyfe unfortunately hasn’t recovered from a knee problem however on the plus side we did see a return to training for Ciaran Dobbin last night but we will wait and see how his ankle has reacted before the game. We also have Ryan Mayse available again after suspension which we’re delighted about.

We know what’s coming our way and our boys know what’s coming too, we have a great togetherness at present and I know these boys will go into the trenches for the club now which makes a huge difference.

As I always say, we totally focus on being at our best and if we are that’s all I ask from the boys
