We were delighted to be joined at the launch of the ‘Shamrock Shuttle’ by longtime Translink employee and former Portadown midfielder, Peter Murray. ‘Minto’ made 187 apperances for the Ports between 1991 & 1995 and was part of the Portadown side who won their first ever League Cup in 1995/96 with a 2-1 win over Crusaders so no better man to be with us at the launch of the ‘Shamrock Shuttle’.

On another travel avenue to the BetMcLean Cup Final being provided for supporters, General Manager Mark Beattie commented

I’m really pleased to be able to work with Translink on this and getting ‘The Shamrock Shuttle’ running on BetMcLean Cup Final Day.

With such a big crowd travelling from the town it is essential we are able to provide supporters a means of travelling, with the Supporters Clubs doing their usual great work and bringing up supporters via buses, this is another way for supporters to travel together on the day.

Big thanks to the staff at Translink especially Charlotte & Sionainn for their help with setting this up and we are looking forward to seeing a full train decked out in Red & White making its way up to Windsor Park on 10th March.
