The Portadown FC Hall of Fame welcomed four new inductees on Saturday evening at the club’s annual End of Season Dinner.

The first from the class of 2024 to be inducted was Vic Fleming. Vic played for the club over two spells, between 1963-1969 & 1971-1975, winning the Gold Cup in 1971/72, the Carlsberg Cup in 1972/73 & the Texaco Cup in 1973/74 and was also part of the Portadown team that finished runners up to Glentoran in 1971/72 & Coleraine in 1973/74 and were beaten by Coleraine in the 1971/72 Irish Cup Final.

The second inductee from the class of 2024 to enter the Portadown FC Hall of Fame was Roy McCreadie. Roy made 106 apperances for the club between 1987 & 1991, winning two Irish League Championships, an Ulster Cup and a Mid-Ulster Cup.

Next to take their place in the Portadown FC Hall of Fame was Keith O’Hara. Keith played for the club between 1999 & 2017 making 643 appearances and lifting the Irish League title in 2002, the Irish Cup in 2005, the Championship and League Cup in 2009 as well as two Mid-Ulster Cups in 2002 and 2003. He would also be a 3 time Irish Cup losing finalist as well as losing out with the Ports in the 2012 League Cup final.

Our final inductee from the class of 2024 we welcomed into the Portadown FC Hall of Fame was Walter Thompson. Walter played for the club between 1955-1965 with him being part of the Portadown side who lost out to Linfield in an Irish League Championship play-off in 1962 after both clubs had ended the normal league campaign on the same number of points. He also played in the 1962 Irish Cup final defeat to Linfield and in both legs of our European Cup Winners Cup tie against OFK Belgrade.
