Portadown Football Club is delighted to confirm that Brandon Diau has signed a new one year contract to remain at the club until the summer of 2025.

The 30 year old defender who has had spells at clubs including Bayern Leverkusen, Hamburg, Vikingur, Kidderminster Harriers and Colwyn Bay arrived at Shamrock Park in January 2024 and made 11 appearances last season for the Ports as Niall Currie’s side won the Playr-Fit Championship & reached the final of the BetMcLean Cup.

On signing on at Shamrock for another year, Brandon commented

I’m delighted to be given the opportunity once again to showcase my abilities.

Portadown is a massive club so everyone being lucky enough to wear the shirt should be honoured. I will give it my absolute all once more as when you play for the badge on the front, people remember your name on the back.

I can’t wait for the big season ahead which is hopefully going to be a successful one

Ports boss Niall Currie added

We’re delighted the big man has decided to stay, he played a huge part at the end of our season in getting us over the line.

He has played highest level in Wales and now will here with us, more importantly he’s a wonderful personality and a great person and we’re delighted to have him.
