At this years End of Season Dinner Keith O’Hara was inducted into the Portadown FC Hall of Fame Class of 2024, however due to unforeseen circumstances Keith was unable to be with us on the evening to be formally inducted.
With Keith now Scholarship Head Coach at Larne we took the opportunity at yesterdays game to formally induct Keith into the Portadown FC Hall of Fame in a ceremony at half time in the board room & were delighted that he also joined us as our special guest for the game and for pre match meal & hospitality with PFC Directors & officials.
Keith made his first team debut for the club against Cookstown in a Mid Ulster Cup tie on 12 January 1999 with his final appearance coming against Dungannon Swifts on 29 April 2017.
In total Keith made 643 apperances for the club, winning an Irish League Title in 2002 (runner up 3 times), Irish Cup in 2005 (runner up 3 times), League Cup in 2009 (runner up once), Championship in 2009 & two Mid Ulster Cups & captained the club from 2010 to 2017 – he was part of a Portadown squad that finished in the top three of the Irish Premiership in 5 consecutive seasons, between 2001/02 & 2005/06.
He made 19 European appearances for the club & was part of the Portadown team that knocked Skonto Riga out of the UEFA Europa League in 2010 & Shkëndija out in the same competition in 2012. He also represented the club in the Champions League in 2002/03.
Keith was presented with his PFC Hall of Fame certificate by Portadown FC Communication Director, Jonny Dunlop.
