Portadown Football Club are today delighted to announce that Ryan Mayse has signed a contract extension which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2026.
The 31 year old has committed his future to the Ports after playing a pivotal role in the club winning the Championship and securing promotion last season as well as lifting the Mid Ulster Cup and reaching the BetMcLean Cup Final. The Newtownstewart native has had a superb 2024/25 campaign so far, scoring 8 goals in 25 appearances which has helped Niall Currie’s men to 4th in the Sports Direct Premiership.
The forward can list Dungannon Swifts, Dergview, Ballinamallard United and Ballymena United as previous clubs and has made a total of 73 appearances and scored 31 goals in a red shirt since his Portadown debut against Dergview in August 2023.
On signing a new deal at Shamrock Park, Ryan commented
I’m obviously delighted to extend for another year at this club, I’m in my second year and have enjoyed every minute so far.
Along with our fans I’ve have had some great memories over the course of that time and hopefully we can add to that and have more memorable days out in the future.

I’m delighted to get the ‘wee man’ on board for next season.
As I’ve said before, we can’t be constantly rebuilding and we now have a nucleus re-signed for next season and have a few more of our boys which we would like to get tied down for 2025/26 as well.
We are getting Ryan coming into his prime and best years and we’re excited about that.
