Portadown Football Club is delighted to confirm the permanent signing of Divin Isamala, subject to international clearance.
Ismala joins the club from League of Ireland side Bohemians for an undisclosed fee following an impressive loan spell in the second half of the 2024/25 season, with the 22-year-old making 12 appearances in the Ports defence after arriving at Shamrock Park towards the end of the January window.
The central defender began his career with Leinster Senior League side St Francis before signing for Bohemians in February 2024 and spending the second half of the 2024/25 League of Ireland season with First Division side Wexford.
The 6-footer from Dublin was involved with the FAI’s Amateur training camp in February 2023 and was heavily linked with a move to full-time football in England prior to making the move to Bohemians, most notably to Blackpool following an impressive trial. However Mick McCarthy’s departure from The Tangerines as manager in April 2023 halted the move after Ismala had agreed personal terms in principle.
On making the move to Shamrock Park, Divin commented
