We are delighted to announce that Eamon Fyfe has committed his future to Portadown by signing a new deal to remain at the club.
Having arrived at Shamrock Park, initially on loan in the summer of 2023 before signing a permanent deal a year later, the 27-year-old has become a fan favourite due to his tenacity and work rate alongside his eye for goal, scoring 36 times in 108 appearances.
During his time at the club, Fyfe has been part of our Championship and Mid-Ulster Cup winning squads as well as lifting several individual honours including club and league Player of the Month awards.
Fresh off signing his new deal, Fyfe is keen to repay the club and manager for the faith they’ve showed in him:
I’m delighted to be signing a new contract.
The club have put a lot of trust in me and given me a platform to help the team out week in week out.
Portadown manager Niall Currie added
We’re delighted to get Eamon signed up on a new contract, he’s a great lad who is improving all the time.
Eamon has played a huge part from the start of the season and has a great future ahead of him as he hits the prime years of his career, and we’re over the moon that that will be in a Portadown shirt.
For the first time in many years we now have a number of assets that many other clubs would love, so it’s important we make sure we continue to keep this together and try and get stronger in what is a very difficult league.
Finally, a big thank you to the board for once again backing me as we continue to assemble and build a squad to compete and move forward in what is arguably the most competitive top tier ever.
