Portadown Football Club is delighted to announce that Lewis MacKinnon has signed a new multi year contract extension to remain at Shamrock Park.
The former Linfield, Glasgow Rangers and Carrick Rangers defender has become a vital part of Niall Currie’s squad since arriving in May 2024, making 62 appearances for the club since his debut against Cliftonville in August 2024 and forming a formidable partnership with Baris Altintop in the heart of the Ports defence.
On signing his new deal, MacKinnon commented
I’m delighted to extend my contract here, from day one the changing room and staff have been brilliant with me and I’ve really enjoyed my football so I’m looking forward to the future.
We will look to get 3 points tomorrow and take it game by game to the end of the season and aim to finish as high as possible.
