Portadown Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Ben Kennedy from Ballymena United.

Kennedy began his senior career across the water at Stevenage, making 167 appearances for the EFL outfit and scoring 31 goals. Following a return to home soil, the attacking midfielder was a constant at Crusaders from 2020-2024, making 109 appearances for the hatchet-men, contributing 39 goals and 23 assists.

Since 2024, the 29-year-old has plied his trade at Ballymena United; making 42 appearances and contributing 17 goals and 8 assists in his time at the Showgrounds.

Obviously I know Ben from my time at Ballymena and know how positive an influence he is around a changing room and the leadership he shows on the pitch
